Required Criteria:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or similar) or relevant engineering experience.
- Proficiency in 2D and 3D modelling software (AutoCAD / SolidWorks).
- Strong time management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of Design for Manufacture (DFM) principles.
- Logical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Flexibility to travel as required.
- Full driving licence.
Desired Criteria:
- At least 1 year’s experience in a similar engineering field (including student placement).

JOB SUMMARY
Working closely with a Senior Engineer, this role offers hands-on involvement in a variety of projects. It’s an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the full development process of bespoke machinery & systems — from concept through to delivery — including aspects of electrical & hydraulic system design.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
- Develop initial concept drawings and models for customer proposals.
- Progress concept designs into detailed engineering designs, incorporating electrical & hydraulic features.
- Produce accurate manufacturing drawings.
- Modify existing designs to meet bespoke customer requirements.
- Respond to customer queries and provide technical support throughout the project.
- Liaise with the manufacturing team to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Maintain technical specifications and user documentation.
- Complete and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Travel to site to assist with machinery installations and commissioning.
- Support the Aftersales team with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues.
- Support continuous improvement and lean manufacturing practices
