Rising costs associated with Trommel Fines Recycling & Disposal
The M&K Trommel Fines Recycling Solution is integrated with an existing recycling system. The fines material is collected from the existing recycling system by conveyor and ferrous metals are removed via an Overband Magnet. 0-40mm material enters the M&K 2 Deck Waste Screen configured with special anti long pieces top deck mesh and flip flow bottom deck. Flip Flow Deck recovers the 0-10mm material as inert’s and qualifies for the lower rate of landfill tax. +40mm fraction is recovered via the special top deck meshes transferred by conveyor to a bay. The remaining 10-40mm material which is a mix of heavy fraction (inerts) and lights (RDF) enters the M&K ACS42 2 Stage Air Density Separator whereby the 10-40mm light fraction is recovered. The 10-40mm inert fraction drops to a bay.
Commenting on the new installation,Mark Doughty, Director Multi Services Kent stated “M&K demonstrated excellent application & technical knowledge from the initial meeting on this trommel fines recycling project. The quality of the 10-40mm heavy fraction is testament to this. Unlike other plant builders and dealerships that we dealt with in the past, M&K design, manufacture and supply everything – including the electrical control panel. This type of service is unique in the industry and made the decision to invest with M&K a very easy decision indeed. Return on Investment was weeks rather than months and of course we are now compliant”.
M&K Sales Manager, John McGlinn, commented
“Another great opportunity to work with a company that is recognised as one of the leading providers of site support services in the country. We are honoured that we have been involved in the trommel fines recycling project with MSK and hopefully many more to follow.“
